Suport the Institute

Every book, article, dictionary, translation, and linguistic study published by the Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature exists because someone chose to support the preservation of knowledge.

We are an independent academic institute dedicated to Biblical Hebrew, Old Testament linguistics, Semitic philology, textual studies, and the study of ancient languages and manuscripts. Our mission is simple:

to make serious scholarly research freely available to everyone.

In a world where much academic knowledge remains locked behind expensive paywalls, subscriptions, and restricted access, we believe that important research should remain open, accessible, and preserved for future generations.

That is why all of our works are published as free open-access resources.

Students, researchers, theologians, linguists, and readers from around the world can freely download and use our books, articles, dictionaries, and studies without payment.

But maintaining independent scholarship is not easy.

Research, translation, proofreading, website maintenance, digitization, academic publishing, manuscript preparation, and long-term preservation require enormous amounts of time, energy, and financial support.

Unlike large universities and institutions, we do not receive major corporate or government funding.

Our work continues primarily because of individual donations from people who believe that knowledge, language, history, and culture matter.

Every contribution — no matter how small — truly helps.

Your support helps us:

  • publish new scholarly works;
  • preserve open-access academic research;
  • continue linguistic and philological studies;
  • maintain free downloads for all readers;
  • expand educational resources;
  • and protect independent academic work for future generations.

If our research has helped you, inspired you, educated you, or given you access to knowledge that would otherwise remain unavailable, please consider supporting the Institute today.
