ADVANCED HEBREW
The Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature offers an Advanced Hebrew course intended for students who have already completed the beginner level or possess equivalent knowledge of the Hebrew language.
The course lasts three months and begins on September 2, 2026.
Entry Requirements
Enrollment in this course requires:
- successful completion of the Hebrew for Beginners course
or - prior knowledge of Hebrew corresponding to the intermediate level
All candidates without a certificate of completion will undergo a short assessment via WhatsApp call to determine their level.
Course Content
The Advanced Hebrew course represents a natural continuation and expansion of the beginner level, with a strong focus on deepening knowledge and practical language use.
The program includes:
- expansion of vocabulary (daily, academic, and contextual)
- advanced grammar structures and sentence formation
- deeper understanding of Hebrew syntax
- development of reading fluency (print and cursive)
- more complex translation exercises
- intensive conversation and communication practice
- listening comprehension and real-life language usage
- refinement of pronunciation
- linguistic connections with other Semitic and European languages
- continued insights into Jewish and Israeli culture
- deeper analytical approach to language structure
The goal of the course is to move students from basic understanding to functional fluency and confident communication, while strengthening their ability to think and operate in Hebrew.
All participants receive complete course literature in PDF format free of charge, which is used throughout the course and remains available to students for further study.
Course Structure and Expectations
This is an intensive and demanding course, intended for serious students. Participants are expected to dedicate 30–45 minutes of daily study at home in addition to live sessions.
The course builds directly on the beginner level and prepares students for higher levels of Hebrew study, including specialized linguistic and textual analysis.

Instructor
The course is led by Prof. Željko Stanojević, Hebrew linguist, biblical philologist, and specialist in modern and Biblical Hebrew, with decades of experience in teaching and research.
Fees and Enrollment
Course fee:
- 300 EUR (full payment)
- 130 EUR per month (3 installments) → total 390 EUR
