Abstract
Srpsko-hebrejski, hebrejsko-srpski rečnik (Serbian–Hebrew / Hebrew–Serbian Dictionary) is a comprehensive bidirectional lexicographic work that systematically connects the Serbian and Hebrew languages within a unified lexical and grammatical framework. The dictionary integrates both Biblical Hebrew and Modern Hebrew, addressing the complex relationship between historical and contemporary linguistic layers.
The work is structured as a bidirectional lexical system, including both Serbian–Hebrew and Hebrew–Serbian sections, enabling precise application in translation, academic research, and educational contexts. Particular attention is given to semantic nuances, polysemy, functional equivalents, and etymological relationships between Semitic and Indo-European linguistic systems.
In addition to its lexicographic component, the dictionary includes a concise grammar of the Hebrew language, providing a structured overview of fundamental morphological and syntactic features, including verb patterns (binyanim), nominal structures, pronominal systems, and basic sentence formation. This component makes the work both a reference tool and a practical instrument for active language use.
The dictionary represents a significant contribution to Hebrew studies in the Serbian-speaking academic context and supports research in Serbian–Hebrew translation, Hebrew–Serbian translation, Biblical Hebrew vocabulary, Modern Hebrew studies, and comparative Semitic linguistics.

Note on Editions
This work (2012) is a bidirectional Serbian–Hebrew / Hebrew–Serbian dictionary and should not be confused with the earlier Hebrejsko-srpski rečnik (Hebrew–Serbian Dictionary) published in 2001, which represents a separate unidirectional lexicographic work.
