HEBREW EDUCATION

HEBREW EDUCATION

The Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature has been organizing Hebrew language education, specialist courses, and biblical-philological training for nearly thirty years. Our educational work is dedicated to the serious study of Hebrew language, Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, the Old Testament, Qumran manuscripts, and the textual world of the Hebrew Bible.

Our courses are designed for students, researchers, theologians, clergy, translators, independent scholars, and all readers who wish to understand the Bible, Jewish textual tradition, and Semitic languages more deeply.

The educational programs are led by Prof. Željko Stanojević, Hebrew linguist, biblical philologist, author, translator, and independent researcher. Prof. Stanojević is the author of the Hebrew–Serbian Dictionary, works on the Qumran Scrolls, studies on the Great Isaiah Scroll, biblical onomastics, Hebrew grammar, and the relationship between Semitic and Slavic languages. His research focuses on Hebrew linguistics, Biblical Hebrew, Qumran studies, textual criticism, biblical translation, and the philological analysis of ancient Hebrew manuscripts.

Our Mission

The goal of Hebrew Education at the Institute is to make serious knowledge of Hebrew and biblical texts accessible to a wider audience, without simplifying the subject or losing scholarly precision. We believe that the Bible cannot be fully understood without knowledge of its original languages, historical background, textual transmission, and cultural context.

Through our courses, students are introduced not only to words and grammar, but also to the world behind the text: ancient Israel, the Hebrew language, the Qumran manuscripts, biblical names, textual tradition, and the complex process of translating Scripture accurately.

Future pages on this website will present each course separately, with detailed descriptions, curriculum, duration, enrollment information, and learning outcomes.
