Description

This work presents a bidirectional Serbian–Hebrew and Hebrew–Serbian dictionary (2012), developed as a comprehensive lexicographic resource for both academic and practical use. The dictionary establishes a systematic connection between Serbian and Hebrew, integrating both Biblical Hebrew and Modern Hebrew within a unified framework.

Special attention is given to semantic precision, contextual usage, and functional equivalence, making the dictionary suitable for translation, linguistic research, and advanced language learning. The work also explores etymological correspondences between Semitic and Indo-European linguistic structures.

In addition to its lexical component, the dictionary includes a concise grammatical overview of Hebrew, covering key morphological and syntactic features such as verb patterns (binyanim), nominal forms, and sentence structure. This element enables users not only to interpret but also to actively apply the language.

The dictionary represents a significant contribution to Hebrew studies in the Serbian-speaking academic environment and supports cross-cultural and interlingual communication between the two linguistic traditions.
