Željko Stanojević – Biografija i bibliografija

prof. Hugh G. M. Williamson, emeritus Regius Professor of Hebrew na Univerzitetu u Oksfordu (University of Oxford), jedan od vodećih svetskih stručnjaka za Knjigu proroka Isaije i tekstualnu kritiku Starog zaveta

Ova saradnja i akademska razmena doprinose pozicioniranju projekta unutar savremenih istraživanja hebrejskog biblijskog teksta i kumranskih rukopisa.

ENGLISH

Željko Stanojević – Biography and Bibliography

An English translation is currently underway for the international scholarly community of a comprehensive research project dedicated to the philological, semantic, and orthographic analysis of the Great Isaiah Scroll from the Dead Sea (1QIsaa). The project is conceived as a systematic and sequential analysis of all 54 columns of the scroll, with particular emphasis on textual transmission, scribal practices, orthographic patterns, and the relationship between the Qumran text and the Masoretic tradition.

The research is structured through a methodologically consistent “column-by-column” approach, in which each column constitutes an independent philological study accompanied by detailed analysis and translation. The first columns have already been translated into English and made available to the international academic community.

The results of the research are being continuously published in leading open-access scholarly repositories, including Zenodo (CERN), the Open Science Framework (OSF), and Humanities Commons (HCommons). Of particular importance is the dedicated project subdomain hosted on HCommons, available at:

This project represents an effort to establish an integrated philological model for the analysis of one of the most significant Qumran manuscripts, linking micro-level textual variation with broader theoretical frameworks of textual criticism and the history of biblical text transmission.

As part of this research, the author engages in academic communication and a form of scholarly collaboration with leading experts in the fields of Dead Sea Scrolls studies and Hebrew biblical philology, including:

Dr. Nehemia Gordon, Executive Director of the Institute for Hebrew Bible Manuscript Research and a scholar affiliated with École Pratique des Hautes Études (PSL, Paris), with extensive work on Hebrew manuscripts and textual criticism
Prof. Hugh G. M. Williamson, Emeritus Regius Professor of Hebrew at the University of Oxford, one of the leading global authorities on the Book of Isaiah and Old Testament textual criticism

This academic exchange contributes to situating the project within contemporary international research on the Hebrew Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
