ISRAHEB was developed by the Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature as an academic alternative to general-purpose language-learning apps.
The platform includes two independent Hebrew courses:
Modern Hebrew — 70 structured lessons
Biblical Hebrew — 70 structured lessons
Students may learn Modern Hebrew, Biblical Hebrew, or study both programmes independently.
ISRAHEB is designed for complete beginners as well as students, researchers, theologians, clergy, Biblical Studies students, Jewish Studies students, seminary students, archaeologists, historians, language enthusiasts and anyone who wants to learn Hebrew systematically.

Learning Biblical Hebrew allows students to examine features of the Hebrew Bible that cannot always be represented completely in translation.
These include vocabulary, morphology, verb forms, syntax, semantic relationships, wordplay, names and place names, textual structure and grammatical nuances of the original Hebrew text.
The programme introduces these subjects progressively rather than confronting beginners immediately with advanced Biblical texts.
How ISRAHEB Works
Every lesson follows a structured learning sequence.
First, the student studies the lesson material and examples.
After completing the instructional material, the student can take a Practice Quiz.
Practice is unlimited.
Students may repeat Practice as many times as necessary without reducing their scholarship opportunity and without consuming Final Exam attempts.
The purpose of Practice is simple: students should be allowed to learn from mistakes before being formally assessed.
After achieving 10/10 in Practice, the Final Exam for that lesson becomes available.
Each lesson provides up to 10 submitted Final Exam attempts.
A complete and valid Final Exam submission counts as one attempt.
Where appropriate, later attempts use fresh or randomised questions from the validated assessment material so that students demonstrate knowledge rather than simply memorising previous answers.
Learn Hebrew and Earn a Scholarship
One of the distinctive features of ISRAHEB is its integrated Hebrew course scholarship system.
Students do not earn meaningless virtual coins or points.
Academic performance in Final Exams can generate an actual tuition scholarship toward a future live Hebrew course organised by the Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature.
Each of the 70 lessons carries a defined scholarship value.
The amount earned depends on the student’s Final Exam performance and the applicable attempt multiplier.
A student does not need a perfect Final Exam score to earn scholarship value.
Every valid Final Exam result can contribute toward the scholarship.
The best scholarship result achieved for each lesson is protected. A weaker later attempt cannot erase a better scholarship already earned.

Each programme has a standard live-course tuition of:

Students may earn up to:
€999.20 in scholarship support per programme
This represents a maximum tuition reduction of:
80%
After earning the maximum scholarship, the remaining tuition is:
€249.80
Modern Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew scholarship balances are completely separate.
A student may therefore earn up to €999.20 toward a live Modern Hebrew course and independently earn up to €999.20 toward a live Biblical Hebrew course.
The scholarship is not a cash payment. It is an earned reduction in tuition for the corresponding live Hebrew course.
Scholarship and Final Exam Attempts
Students are encouraged to practise carefully before taking a Final Exam because the first attempt provides the highest scholarship potential.
The scholarship multipliers are:

Attempt 2 — 90%
Attempt 3 — 80%
Attempt 4 — 70%
Attempt 5 — 60%
Attempt 6 — 50%
Attempt 7 — 40%
Attempt 8 — 30%

This system rewards careful preparation while still allowing students additional opportunities to demonstrate improved knowledge.
