Academic Profile
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexandra Palantza is Associate Professor of Old Testament in the Department of Theology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Hebrew Bible and has established herself as one of Greece’s leading scholars in Old Testament studies and Biblical Hebrew.
Her academic work focuses on the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible through literary, historical, and theological approaches. Her research examines biblical anthropology, the religious world of ancient Israel, the history of Israel, and the reception of Old Testament texts within Christian tradition.
In addition to her teaching and research, Professor Palantza actively participates in international conferences and scholarly collaborations dedicated to biblical studies and the ancient Near East.
